Principle Web Developer
MTC- Washington, DC.
MTC Technologies, Inc., is a leading provider of systems engineering, program management, and information technology services for U.S. defense, intelligence and civilian federal government agencies. I worked for PEO Soldier (https://peosoldier.army.mil/) and the Rapid Equipping Force (https://www.ref.army.mil/) where my responsibilities included:
- The design, programming and maintenance of the public Internet and internal Intranet. As the principle web developer I worked closely with the different program managers to prepare content for distribution on the web. I was involved in all aspects of this process. I recommended solutions that achieve project goals with minimal expenditure of resources. I helped manage the acquisition of content, assuring that it was organized and compatible with the available systems. I designed web applications to dynamically access this information in a clean and efficient manor and to ensure that access to sensitive data was compliant with all army regulations.
- Helped with the growth and administration of PEO Soldier's AKO (Army Knowledge Online) assets. Because AKO is freely available to all army organizations, it has the potential to massively decrease the expenditure of resources. By staying current with both the capabilities of the AKO system, and the various ongoing projects under PEO Soldier, I was able to ensure that AKO resources are utilized to their fullest potential.
